EPR Power of Attorney: electronic representation for foreign companies

Appoint an authorized representative in Spain from your own country, with a valid notarial power of attorney, to act electronically before the AEAT and the rest of the Administration.

A company operating from outside Spain always runs into the same wall: the Spanish Administration works electronically and requires a representative with accredited powers of attorney for almost everything, from receiving notifications from the AEAT to filing taxes or initiating registry procedures. The EPR Power of Attorney (Electronic Power of Representation) resolves that obstacle: your company appoints, before a Spanish notary, an authorized attorney-in-fact to act electronically on its behalf in tax, corporate and administrative matters. We handle everything online: we review your foreign corporate documentation, prepare the draft in accordance with the notary's requirements, coordinate the signing by video-signature or in person, and verify that the power of attorney becomes fully operational. Every country of origin and every corporate structure is different, which is why we work on a fixed quote after reviewing your documentation, with no obligation.

Frequently asked questions

What does the price of €644.45 include?
It is the fixed total of the four items involved in the procedure, VAT included: the EPR notarial power of attorney (€395.00), the review and validation of the foreign corporate documentation (€45.00), the issuance of the digital certificate for legal entities (€54.45), and the beneficial ownership deed for the EPR procedure (€150.00). No surprises later on.
Can everything be signed online, without traveling to Spain?+
Yes. Since Law 11/2023, corporate powers of attorney can be granted by video conference through the notarial portal, with electronic identification in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation. Your director signs from their own country in a video session with the Spanish notary, without needing to travel. If your signatory prefers to attend the notary's office in person, we can also arrange the in-person signing.
How are my country's corporate documents legalized?+
If your country is party to the 1961 Hague Convention, an apostille on the bylaws, the registry certificate and the documents proving authority is sufficient; if not, consular legalization is required. In addition, any document not in Spanish needs a sworn translation to be used before the Spanish notary and Administration. During the initial review, we tell you exactly what needs to be apostilled and translated, so you don't pay for unnecessary legalizations.
Before which bodies is the power of attorney valid?+
The most common use is before the AEAT: receiving electronic notifications, filing tax returns, and handling requests and inspections through the power of attorney accredited before the Agency itself. It is also valid for procedures before official registries, corporate proceedings and administrative applications, and can be registered in the Electronic Register of Powers of Attorney of the General State Administration to act before other bodies. We define the powers granted according to the procedures your company needs.
Who can be the representative who receives the power of attorney?+
A trusted individual or legal entity: a director of the group, an employee in Spain, or, very commonly, the tax advisor or manager who already handles the company's Spanish affairs. To operate electronically, they will need a NIF or NIE and a digital certificate accepted in Spain. If your representative does not yet have these, we will tell you how to obtain them before signing, so that the power of attorney is operational from day one.
Why doesn't this service have a fixed price on the website?+
Because no two cases are alike: the country of origin, the corporate form, the required apostilles and translations, and the scope of the powers to be granted all vary. Send us your corporate documentation, we'll review it, and we'll give you a fixed quote before starting, with no obligation.
Do documents signed online have the same validity as those signed in person?+
Exactly the same. Law 11/2023 recognises the full legal validity of notarial documents executed by video call with a qualified electronic signature before a registered notary.
Do I need a digital certificate?+
Yes, to sign electronically you need a digital certificate or an electronic DNI. If you do not have one, we help you obtain it quickly before your appointment, with no additional handling fee.
Can I do it from abroad?+
Yes, the notarial video call works from any country. You only need a stable connection, your valid identity document and a digital certificate.
How much does this service cost?+
The quote includes the official notarial fees set by the Notarial Association plus our handling, fixed before you start and with no hidden costs. Request it with no obligation via WhatsApp or the form.
What if I have questions during the process?+
Our team supports you from start to finish via WhatsApp, phone or email, and the notary answers all your legal questions before signing.
